Baker suggests people start to get their hearing checked at the age of fifty. Those around the age of fifty are very much prime candidates for hearing loss; according to Miracle-Ear, more people below the age of retirement have a hearing loss than above retirement age. Even if there is not an initial hearing loss at the age of fifty, it?s good for people to have a baseline hearing score in case something happens, such as an accident or stroke. This way, says Baker, it?s beneficial to have something on file to know where you were in terms of hearing, before a possible accident happens.
