Brisbane is built on a floodplain which means we will never be able to prevent flooding.
Brisbane needs to be a city that lives comfortably with, and manages the risk of, flooding ? ensuring that flooding is expected, designed and planned for sufficiently. With modern technology and ongoing flood modelling, we are able to better understand risk and respond appropriately.
We all have a role to play in managing the impacts of flooding in our city.
